The vineries are situated on the fore-hills of the Oltrepo Pavese, in the Santa
Giuletta municipality, between Broni and Casteggio.
Since 1994, the Pirovano family has adopted a rigorously organic cultivation
on a 65 hectare area, in which chemical products, herbicides and pesticides are not
used and the techniques of forcing productivity are avoided in order to make
the most of the territorial and environmental resources.
The reason for this choice comes from the great sensitivity of the firm
to environmental and health problems; in fact the best guardian of the earth
is just the one who cultivates it and respectc it. The cultivated surface is
regulated by the EEC 2092/91 Directions, controlled by the I.C.E.A. institute
and authorized by the Ministry of Agriculture.
